Learn more about the work of Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) to put authentic, challenging problems at the heart of teaching and learning. Learn how LCPS is using the One to the World conceptual framework and project-based learning to promote student engagement and deeper learning.

Hear from Keynote Speaker Eric Williams, Superintendent of LCPS, as well as a middle school principal and two middle school teachers.

Williams will share specific action steps that district-level leaders, principals, and teachers can take in five areas: teaching and learning; vision/leadership; professional learning; assessment & accountability, and technology.

Bridget Beichler (Principal, Trailside Middle School), Jeannie Tallent (middle school English teacher) and Leisha Lucente (middle school Social Science teacher) will share the teacher- and principal-perspective regarding how to use the One to the World conceptual framework and project-based learning to promote student engagement and deeper learning. They’ll describe specific leadership and instructional strategies relating to One to the World and project-based learning.
