In this workshop, Phil Stubbs will share how teachers around the world are adopting simple strategies to meet the challenge of engaging students more deeply in their learning. Participants will engage in a demonstration lesson, designed to challenge traditional definitions of blended learning. This lesson will model collaborative strategies designed to activate students as learning resources for each other. It will use cooperative learning theory to demonstrate the relationship between collaborative academic engagement and transitioning student thinking from surface to deep.
